I'm madder than hell. For the last 15 years I have been flying US Air and receiving frequent flyer miles. I have accumulated just about 50,000 miles. Last year, in order to keep the miles that I received as part of US Air's frequent flyer program, I had to agree to accept their US Airways Master Card and I had to use it or lose all of my miles. I accepted the card and used it once and my miles were restored to me.

This year, I was told that there was no activity on my account and therefore I was going to lose my miles again. I was told that I would have to either: Fly US Air and receive more miles, buy something from one of their partner companies, give 1000 points to charity, or have the US Airways Master card reissued to me and I had to start using it. Since I did neither, my frequent flyer miles have been taken away once again.

Does anybody feel that I have been treated fairly by a company which has been in financial trouble for several years? Should the miles that I have received for flying their airline be taken from me because I haven't had the need to fly anywhere in the past 18 months? Should I be forced to buy something from a partner company from which I don't want anything? Should I be forced to give my points to charity even though I give to numerous charities willingly? Should the 50,000 miles that I have earned by paying for tickets to fly on US Air be extorted from me by forcing me to do something that I do not want to do?
